Toronto, May 19th 2022
Casa Foundation for International Development (Casa Foundation) was recently awarded $289,604 by the TD Bank Group from 2022-2024. The Entrepreneur Exchange (EE) Program intends to improve the economic opportunities for aspiring women entrepreneurs and early-stage women entrepreneurs from racialized communities. The program will enable overall entrepreneurial success and remove barriers to their career advancement.
The EE program will enhance the knowledge of the participants to write successful business plans and it will also equip the participants with business, financial, and pitch skills.
The funding will enable Casa Foundation to build tailored training, mentoring, and networking platform for the women participants. Through this program, participants will be able to improve their entrepreneurial skills, build their self-confidence, and expand their professional networks. Further, it will also support new businesses and scale up existing businesses.
The grant from TD is focused on supporting women entrepreneurs through training, entrepreneurship building, and other initiatives. TD is committed to helping people prepare for the jobs of tomorrow and that achieving Income Stability is one of the first steps on the road toward building financial security. At the launch today, Dr. Olutoyin Oyelade, President of Casa Foundation, said “Through the funding, Casa Foundation will be able to build a robust platform for women entrepreneurs to build businesses and navigate the long term growth that will foster the sustainable economy and enable communities to thrive”
