Ambassador Immaculate N. Wambua is a distinguished Public Officer and a career Diplomat with more than 30 years of public service experience gained through serving in different positions both in Kenya and Missions abroad, including Kenya, Missions in Brussels (Belgium and the European Union) and Dublin (Ireland).  

Prior to her current posting to Ottawa, Canada, Amb. Wambua served as the Director of the Americas and the Caribbean Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nairobi where she was responsible for nurturing growing Kenya’s relations with countries in the Americas Region, including but not limited to; Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the Caribbean, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and the United States of America.

Amb. Wambua holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Public Policy and Management (PPM) from the Institute of Social studies (ISS), The Hague, Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Social Sciences, as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Diplomacy and International Relations, both from the University of Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya.
