Kelly De Fogain-Taylor is the Founder and Executive Director of Afropolitan Canada, a bilingual non-profit organization that equips Ontario’s young Black community with professional, entrepreneurial, and financial skills.

The organization offers soft skills and entrepreneurship workshops, cultural programs, and events to support young black women and men in their education and career advancement.

With a B.A. in Political Science and Translation and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management, Kelly first worked as a translator for environmental non-governmental organizations before joining the Government of Ontario as a senior policy advisor to the Ministries of Francophone Affairs and Education, and the Office of Women’s issues.

Today, Kelly is dedicating her time to Afropolitan Canada’s mission and is leading programs to support the development of the professional and entrepreneurial journeys of their clients. In addition to their annual programming, Afropolitan Canada is also

hosting the annual Women of Diversity Summit and Awards which is the organization’s key event.

Celebrated on the weekend before International Women’s Day, the Women of Diversity Summit and Awards is an annual event that celebrates over 150 successful but often underrepresented women in the Canadian women’s entrepreneurial sphere.
